This is my previous video post in photo essay format. I grabbed still frames from the video and exported the captions with timecode to match frame to caption.
It’s an experiment in making the video print-capable. It should also create a new way of experiencing the same narrative.
Because a lot of the motion in the video is subtle, I would encourage you view the video. However, I found in the making of this format a new relationship to the images I find intriguing. Thus you are welcome to enjoy this piece as it is presented here.
I used to sit on my back in bed,
staring at the corner where the walls met the ceiling.
I wanted to be a writer. I wanted to express in text that corner,
in all its relationship to me as I lay looking at it.
